I work nights only so I am always alone in my shift. So in nights as we all know people arrive to hotels little bit drunk or wild and many times are arrogant and disrespectful and think they are on top of the hierarchy. So lately I am done with this type of people and every time they come in as walk ins and act like boss I just ignore that house is half empty and I still have many cheep rooms to sell I look in system and than turn back to them and say ” Looks like we are pretty full and all is left is the high end rooms”. I fell no regret by charging them the max amount I can for room and other extras if they give attitude for treating me as doormat. And than it is funny to see how there attitude change when they hear the High price but since it is middle of the night I know they will not walk away to other hotel but will take what ever I give them even it is just 6hours left until check out and they definitely will not have time to enjoy the jacuzzi or other extras in room. So the moral is if You work in hotels and some ass guest walks in acting an ass give them highest price room to save cheep rooms for other people that may come by and are really nice people! Do not treat hotel personal as doormat and You may walk out with couple hundred dollars more than You could and many times if guests are nice we just give them free drinks and free breakfast because we balance that out by charging bad guests double!
