Working with remote Ukrainian colleagues

I have been working remotely with a lot of Ukrainian colleagues and at least the company I work for is doing the minimum thing of giving them time off to get their families out of harms way, but it is still so surreal. Yesterday one of them showed up to a remote meeting and today as well. It is pretty insane for them to even still come in and join the meeting. She said she had time to move away from major cities and bring her family so she had some time to work. I really hope this is just a distraction for her and she does not feel obligated to work. The guy said, he could not leave the country because they blocked the borders for men 18-55. We haven't heard anything from 2 Ukrainian co-workers. We haven't heard anything from 2 Ukrainian co-workers. It is so weird to sit here and think that the people you work with for a year might just be dead and I am sitting here, doing my work, looking at the stuff they worked on. I am very worried about them. I hope they are safe.
