Just a quick rant: I work in finance and recently moved roles within my company, same job title, different department. Month end is always a cluster fuck for most finance professionals but when you’re still trying to learn it feels like you don’t have a clue what’s going on. So anyway the other day I worked 12 hours straight 8am to 8pm to ensure all my responsibilities were boxed off . I barely ate all day, I was away from my desk for maximum of 10 minutes the whole day, and what do I have to show for it? Absolutely jack shit. No thanks for working over, no offer to take back time in Leui. And to top it off I get an email to say my previous manager has been nominated for colleague of the month for process improvements which I implemented! Fuck this company.
