I don't know if this is okay to post here but this sub has the lowest form of rules so that I can actually get answers.
I actually posted about a meeting the company had probably a month ago here about everyone being “dedicated to the mission”. We have a meeting today and the company is burning through money, making no profits, etc. I know where this is going to end up. My sister went through this with a job that recently went bellyup (she got out in time). I didn't find out until after I got the job that they'd actually laid off most of the people in the position I have about 6 months before I joined. Indeed reviews show that this profit issue has been going on for 4+ years.
I should be starting nursing school in the next 6ish months. I don't know if I'll be able to work through it all but it'd suck to get a new job and have to leave. I can't not work right now and can't afford to be broadsided by a termination. But I work from home so it's great to help out a family member and requires no phone talking. I feel like I got lucky but it's turning into a catch-22. What would you all do?
