Yes I take it personally pal

I work in Talent Acquisition and made a lot of personal sacrifices to get here. I worked through temp agencies, did overnight warehouse jobs as an undergraduate. Got dumped by my ex wife mainly because I was too busy. Worked as a mover in grad school while going through divorce and started off working professionally as a paralegal. Now I am a middle talent acquisition manager who got here after 5 years grinding in recruitment. Don't you just hate when a colleague or higher up treat your work as if it's not important? You know… that client you worked so hard to schedule a meeting with only for the other colleague who is supposed to join to ask about cancelling or rescheduling last minute for whatever reason. What about that thing you worked so hard to put together only for a higher up to shut it down or for Accounting/Finance…

What about that thing you worked so hard to put together only for a higher up to shut it down or for Accounting/Finance to start asking silly questions ….delaying your progress.

How about those who refuse to communicate despite several attempts? Which leaves you no choice but to do what you can do, however you can do it. Then only for these same folks start backtracking and make you have to adjust and redo things – when the whole purpose of you asking questions in the first place was to avoid this exactly.

These days Im in the mindset of salary means you get paid no matter what. I get paid no matter what. Either that or I stopped giving my 100% to anybody or anything.
