Yes it’s illegal

I keep seeing posts where people are asking “is this legal?” and posting pictures of their boss threatening to reduce pay for work that has already been done. I just wanted to come out and say YES. IT’S ILLEGAL! It’s almost every day we get a post of a boss saying “for every time X happens I reduce your pay by Y”, or “if you call in I don’t pay you at the end of the week”. Any form of “if you don’t do something I don’t like I won’t pay you for work you have done” is illegal. Take pictures of notices your boss puts up. Keep records of emails and texts your boss sends you. Keep receipts. Defend yourselves. And most importantly don’t be afraid to stand up for yourselves. Your boss is not above the law.
