So my boss is the owner of a small car wash. Since I started he's been consistently late, anywhere from 30mins-to a few hours, yet is a stickler on time for us. I got tired of it because I was having to close fairly regularly and then open the next day. I'm a part-time college student and don't make shit, not nearly enough to justify a 12-hour turnaround time. I finally got tired of it and confronted him. He said, “Well, I'm salary so the rules apply differently to me.” At that point I had had enough, of the scummy business practices, the refusing to help, the passive aggressiveness, and the tardiness, I just put in my two weeks and that was that.
Is this a common experience? It hasn't been for me.
EDIT: The place is understaffed and we didn't have the man power for someone to just not show up or be late consistently.
