Maybe this is too radical, or perhaps businesses wouldn't want to “deal with the paperwork.” But I know how frustrating pay schedules can be, and I can't help but feel like this is somewhat on purpose.
Let's say you have an emergency, many people like myself scrape by and don't ever have much to save. That wipes out your savings and next thing you know, you are overdrafted and then charged for that too. I woke up this morning and my account was overdrafted $85 for a reoccuring purchase.
Paycheck to paycheck is a reality for many and I feel like our hard earned funds should be more accessible. In this day and age, with the technology and tools at our disposal, it's absolutely possible.
In combination with the banks charging people who are already broke, it seems like employers make it as hard as possible, in every way, to keep us as a lower class. Being poor is also expensive, as financial resources (like decent loans, credit, etc) are not as available to us in many situations.
They want to keep us struggling for as long as possible so they can squeeze every dollar out.
