10 bucks an hour won’t make me be a leader.

I make $10 an hour at my job part time. (I've asked about going full time only to be told “we're stable on full timers!”) My family tells me I should start going above and beyond so management starts noticing me. “Take initiative! Be a leader! They'll give you full time then!” Boomer mentality. I'm doing what my job is and nothing more, and sometimes im barely doing that. I find it hard to stay busy and having something to do because i have two other people working alongside me doing the same exact thing, so I sit there answering emails and filing paperwork. I ask what I can help with, but I don't make enough to keep asking.
