Entry level technology positions for people with bachelors and masters used to start out at 50k. Now when I talk in my college computer science group chat they are saying they can’t even live off of 80k per year. Here I am having worked at a grocery store and these numbers are mind boggling, but now I’m interviewing for higher paying jobs because I’m realizing my 50k job isn’t cutting it as I’m filling up my gas…
so yeah,,, demand higher pay..
edit to add that i live in a ‘cheaper’ area and i cant wrap my mind around how people working at places like whole foods or walmart are getting by at all
