I’ve worked for my organization for 11 years and 11 months. After a meeting with the owner last week, I was told that my past contributions are irrelevant, and only what matters is tomorrow.
I’ve made millions of dollars for this company, as I work in a very niche field and sell specialty products, mostly engineered. I’ve worn about every hat a person can in the organization. From truck driver to field engineer, to restroom cleaner and I’m very proud of that.
That is what I was told after asking for a significant raise. I was asked to even do more with less, generate more business with less, spread myself even more thin.
I don’t expect them to be blessed with my presence, but all of that business generated over the years, may it flounder.
