So I learned that my job doesn’t pay us the first fifteen minutes if we’re late by even just one minute!?
My manager said it’s supposed to encourage us to come to work on time but like, if the weather is bad or if there’s an accident on your way to work or in my case if you get stuck at the railroad track because the train is going by and you’re stuck for fifteen minutes or so, I just don’t get paid even if I manage to make it only a couple minutes late because of this dumb shit they put in place?
Is there anything legal I can do about this? The job is in Columbus, OH and it’s a manufacturing plant.
