My wife worked at our local 7/11 store for about a few months now. Considering our small neighborhood this was one of the best jobs we’ve ever worked in. I used to work at the same 7/11 until I got on disability. Then my wife worked there for me to make ends meet.
Things were fine but I noticed after I left, there was zero training, apparently I was the only one there who knew how to do EVERYTHING. So employees were making SO MANY mistakes that were costing the stores thousands of dollars.
My wife wasn’t trained at 7/11 and those who know what it’s like to work there you have to watch these training videos before you do ANYTHING in the store. They cover things like sting operations and phone scams in these training videos.
She got fired because this Friday she carded a minor but got confused with dates, she forgot to scan the ID and accidentally sold to a minor which turned to a sting operation. Granted yes what she did was wrong and she should’ve known better,
However the same day today someone else fell for a phone scam and got automatically terminated not even 12 hours after my wife got fired. 2 weeks before that another employee was fired for the phone scam thing as well.
I am so fed up and frustrated that the one place that used to be good changed management and now they’re saying employees are “lazy” they “don’t know anything” but the employees are just CLUELESS from zero training.
Is there anyway I can fight my wife’s automatic termination when the manager has been costing peoples jobs and hopes???
