Put my 2 weeks in yesterday and my boss immediately asks why. I told him I’m leaving for a better paying job with work/life balance and he responded “So you’re just in it for the money and want to spend time with your family?” Yes. Yes I am. I need more money to buy things and and more time to spend with my special needs child instead of coming into an office 5x week.
They haven’t given it to me, so I found it elsewhere. I’ve been at my company for 2 years and if somebody else is gonna come in and pay me a lot more to do another job. I’m gonna take it. I’m not here because “we’re a family” or because “I LOVE SaaS and it’s always been my dream to work at one.”
Fuck you pay me.
