I think I was the receiver of an Antiwork user

I drove from SJ to LA last night. It's a 6 hour drive, and halfway through, I stopped at a McDonald's. I ordered a small sprite, 2 cookies, and large fries. When I received my order, it was a Large Sprite, 4 cookies, and a ton of fries had been dumped in the bag. I've seen stories on this subreddit of food service employees filling up customer bags with extra goodies as a form of rebelling against corporate, but I've never actually been on the receiving end of this before. God bless you, random McDonald's employee. I hope you're doing well, and thank you for brightening my day with this act of kindness.

How is is possible to end work?

I am going to flat out say it, I don’t think being antiwork makes any sense, how can you be against working, work as a whole, or labor? You may not like work but someone has to do the job. I understand pushing for more labor rights, I am currently writing an essay on how the 32 hour workweek is actually more productive than the 40 hour workweek, due to decreased burnout and more efficient time usage. But how can you end labor entirely? I just don’t see how it’s possible.

What does “Flexible work hours” mean to you?

Long story short. I signed up with a certain supermarket chain for 20 hours and during the interview, I said I was “flexible” in my working hours. Now admittedly, I can see how this would be misunderstood. But apparently my boss took it to mean “Ok, we have this tough week coming up, so here's over twice your contracted hours” and I just kind of went with it because I wanted to be a team player. (I ended up having a massive anxiety attack during a ten hour shift, but that's a story for another time, depending on how “the talks” about that go tomorrow…) I spoke to my manager who was very evasive. Re : The anxiety attack, I left work 3 hours early, I said it was long hours, this week was tough, no real downtime, etc and said “Well you said (implying I lied) during your interview…
