For those who are well versed with all kinds of employment situations and wanna pay it forward, put down some advice that can help the next generation of workers that are just starting out. Just to start, advocate for what you want out of the job. There’s no shame in asking for a higher wage and better treatment. If the place your applying for doesn’t provide enough, go somewhere else. A job that treats you well will come eventually. Be patient and advocate for yourself.

COO Saw My Glassdoor Review
So I was an idiot and reviewed my current job because Glassdoor was asking for a review to be able to use it. Because of my title, apparently, it wasn't anonymous enough and it's been traced back to me. A work friend in a higher position said that the COO was asking her about the review because we used to work together. I edited it a little bit to be softer than the original and changed the position title. Is there anything I should know in case it gets brought up to me by higher-ups?
I've been taking quote a few phone/video interviews lately and have ran into quite a few instances where the employer was late 15-20 minutes after the agreed upon time. I'm always super flexible and say I'm available whenever, as to make it easy for them to time, but it doesn't seem to matter. Is this a red flag, or standard for phone interviews?
don’t like my job
is it wrong to leave a job when your boss takes care of you? Manager is awful. Gossipy and lazy and does nothing. Coworkers are creepy and gossip with manager about me. Hours are constantly cut, I work 9:30-5 as is so I already dont get full time hours because of how they run it. No benefits. Owner of the company is really good to me, helped me out with money when I really needed it, but overall I am miserable coming to work everyday, and I don’t make a ton of money either. But I feel like I owe it to my boss to show up and stay. Just feel super lost and want more for myself but afraid to quit because i’d feel super guilty.
So as the title says my bosses act like they want me to stay past my scheduled time. I work in retail and as you know things can get hectic but my bosses want me to stay past what they schedule me so that i will get every thing done ie dust mop, put everything back, restock the registers, mop, clean the bathrooms, and probably more that im forgetting. Can i ask them for something in writing that states they want me to have spare time set aside for work or something like that or what?
California recently passed a law that requires companies to pay employees for sick leave dating back to January 1. My boyfriend caught covid, then I did a few days later. My company is trying to refuse to pay me for the sick leave when they told me I couldn’t come into work. Fuck you. Pay me. Im submitting resumes instead of working today
Now that nuclear war tensions are high again, there will be a false argument raised (by corporate shills) that only business-as-usual “free market” capitalism can prevent the threat of oppression and nuclear annihilation of Putin's brand of nationalist aggression. Remember that Russia and China ARE capitalist, that there is ALSO brutal labor exploitation in Russia and China, and that one thing does not negate the other. So, organization against labor exploitation does not condone nationalist war aggression, rather they are from the same place: working towards justice, and a fair, safe world for people.
