I am currently on my final week at my company, and they asked me to appear for an exit interview at the end of this week. I haven't ever had to do this, and I am not sure what it's going to be like? This company is shady as hell so I have a lot to say negatively.. is this the time to do it? My old company was bought out by this company and we started working here on December 1st 2021 (yes.. right before Christmas they laid off a bunch of people), and they were very adamant that we would be able to keep our PTO that was in December/January. Started working at this place almost a month ago now, and it's been hell ever since the first day. I've been waiting for it to “get better”, but it never does. High stress environment with pay that doesn't match the workload. They've scheduled me to work 6 out of 7 days this week. I contacted them and told them that I cannot work more than 5 days a week (even 5 is too much for me, but I need the money to survive and wanted full time benefits). They said ok, they'll look into it. I got a message today saying that I need to come in for that 6th day for additional “training”, AKA we are understaffed and need an excuse to try and force you to come in and do work you've already been trained to do. LET ME SHINE SOME LIGHT: – ASSIST WITH TOILETING – BATHING – PREPPING FOOD – WASHIN DISHES – LAUNDRY – CLEANING THE HOUSE – GETTING BEATEN BY CLIENTS – BEING YELLED AT BY SICK CLIENTS – MANDATORY CERTIFICATIONS (CPR, FirstAid,..) – MANDATORY CONTINUE EDUCATION CLASSES – MINIMUM BENEFITS – EXTRA DEMANDS BY MANAGERS SERIOUSLY! Title is as suggests. Companies have noticed the recent shift in the labor market. I work for a company valued a bit about 1 Billion. I can say I’ve personally noticed this turnover. Edit: a bit over 1 billion*
(First time post, on mobile. Sorry not sorry) Company based out of North Dakota, my job in Washington state. I have been with this company for about 9 months now. My position isn’t very high up the ladder, but it’s important to the day to day operations. My co workers see me as more of the person in charge than our actual manager. The job is super chill, a lot of down time. Anyway. Before I started, the company was bought out and merged into a bigger corporate conglomerate company.
