Look at all the Russian money that pays politicians around the world. Look at how the countries that are simultaneously condemning the Russian people are still buying oil from Russia. Sure, a few oligarchs may have had their yachts “taken away,” but it seems like they’re STILL making money while so many ordinary Russians lose everything. They can’t even find Putin’s assets, which means these sanctions don’t even touch the one person it really should be decimating. Countries are selling their military equipments to each other, which means politicians around the world are getting delicious kickbacks from these sales. War or peace, it barely affects them in any negative way. They thrive either way. And the majority of us sit in this mire of misery and shit they created for us, and we lash out and fling shit at each other instead of seeing the root of all our problems.…

Already burnt back out
I just had a really nice week and a half vacation, but tonight is my second night back and I'm already burnt out again. When I left everything was ahead of schedule and everything was kosher. I come back, two people got fired, everything is behind and broken and the day shifts didn't do a god damn thing between when I left at 730 when I left this morning and when I came back at 9 tonight. It feels like I never left, and I keep getting ghosted after interviews. I'm tired of feeling broken with no end in sight. Thanks for listening to me blowing off some steam.
just quit and this is what happened.
So I quit my job for a few reasons, the big one is to take care of my son and my wife makes significantly more than me. Most of my paycheck goes to daycare so I make about a 100-300 a month after paying for it. So it's making little money to miss out on alot of time and firsts. My wife also wanted one of us to stay at home to avoid daycare since she forsy had him. I'm very proud of her and would never ask her to drop her career. She's very happy and I well, wasnt. Another reason I'm quiting is I do not get along with my direct supervisor. It got to the point coworkers were telling me it was obvious she didn't like me. I got yelled at for not asking questions, for asking questions, she would change things, not tell me and get…
Boomers are so wild. Was talking to a coworker in her 70s today and she was agonizing over taking PTO. She gets 4wks bc she’s been with our org so long I blew her mind when I said that it’s time she’s rightfully earned, not time that’s bestowed upon her by the boss. Don’t think of it as asking permission, you’re fucking telling her lol. You are taking the time off, they can figure out how to adjust She said that was so wise. It’s not tho, it’s just millennial/Gen z energy
35 years of Service, for nothing.
My father worked for a large British car manufacturer. They make sports car's and 4×4's etc. He worked there for 35 years, and retired last year. He was in the process of having his pension fund (around 500k British Pounds) transferred to a financial advisor. This process was taking time as his old employer had historic delays to ensure this wasnt a smooth process. He passed away suddenly about 2 months after his retirement. The transfer still not near completion, and him no longer an employee of said car company, we were told his pension pot had gone. He worked for 35 years to save this money, to travel and enjoy his retirement years. He was 58. As soon as his old employer realized they were no longer bound legally to offer this lump sum, or anywhere near this figure, they did exactly that. No letter's, no well wishes, no…
Applying for a job
My boss asked me to call her to talk about it when I brought up the schedule. She didn’t even tell me, I just found it today when checking. She said that nobody can cover my shift, and that I’ll have to work anyhow. What can I do to combat this?? Edit: I would call out, but she essentially told me that I’ll be fired if I call out or if I’m late again. (I have been sick twice within the past 90 days)
whatcha think?
Right now, the capitalism you all shit on is called ‘neo feudalism’. What is neo feudalism? It’s Exactly what we’ve been going through since 2008… here’s a trusted source called Wikipedia: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neo-feudalism Alright, so let’s go over the 4 kinds of capitalism: oligarchic capitalism: A political economic system where few capitalists have complete control over the economy and government Basically; rich control government and money. State guided capitalisim: State capitalism is an economic system in which the state undertakes business and commercial (i.e. for-profit) economic activity and where the means of production are nationalized as state-owned enterprises (including the processes of capital accumulation, centralized management and wage labor). https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/State_capitalism Basically; the state owns their nationalized means of production Entrepreneurial capitalism: Basically the free market and everything or most things are privatized This can end really good or horribly in a monarchy The true villain is greed, not capitalism. And I…
