So I was filling up Propane for a customer and the charges on the machine claim that a single gallon is $3.99, but for some stupid reason it says two on there. So a customer needed 25 gallons and had only $100 but $3.99 is basically $4.00 so that was confusing enough. So once the customer went inside to pay, my boss said to him that the cost was over $100 because of taxes, so my boss instead decided to scold me for missing that, even though the tax rate on the machine was blank, indicating there was no clear amount for the taxes. So he kept asking me questions like “So you do know that $4.00 × 25 gallons is $100 right?” I said yes and he said to me for some reason “Are you sure?” Well, obviously I fucking know that it is but he is just trying…

Talk to your HR and tell them you'll decline health insurance (inceasing their premiums and costs) if they don't cover telehealth including teletherapy. Call the insurance company directly and tell them you'll drop their asses. These greedy shitheads are heavily invested in commercial real estate and want to force you back into an office to further pad their bottom lines. Don't let them. Tell them you're not going to pay them to pay to drive to pay to park so they can pay a healthcare provider less money to provide the same service they were providing remotely.
He said through his sobs that the mother of his children had sudden heart issues and was in the hospital. He hadn’t left work yet because he was waiting for someone to show up to take over. How absolutely fucking insane!? That we live in a world that expects someone to stay at ANY job in a familial (or otherwise) crisis. I hope his wife is doing okay, and I hope he got to see her before a tragedy struck, if it did. I walked right out of the shop after wishing him and his wife the best.. I truly hope he locked up and told his boss to fuck himself. One day things will change if we keep fighting for our right to LIVE. It’s really not much we ask for: basic humanity.
That just means they need me more than I need them They can fucking pay me The end
Something needs to change
(Also sorry if this is worded weird, I’m a little scatter brained right now.) I’ve been thinking a lot about the culture of the south recently. I’ve lived in Florida my whole life and I’ve never left the southern US, and one thing that’s been eating away at me is the idea that working hard for what you got is something to be proud of. The thing is, I agree with the statement, I draw and write and when I work hard on a particular piece I feel really proud of myself, I get the same feeling when I cook an actual meal for myself, or push myself during a work out, but the thing is, I seldom ever get that feeling at work. When I’m working, everything feels like an obligation, and any sense of pride I feel at an accomplishment is short lived and dull. It’s like doing…
They laughed at me. P.S. before anyone rails on my bosses. I'm a state employee and my direct report doesn't have any control over what I get paid and all of the managers are really awesome. Have to depend on the GOP controlled legislature for raises…
