Good ole capitalism. Merica sure has its priorities straightened out. When a delivery driver can make more money than a CNA, an EMT and also a pre school teacher. It seems like all the essential workers and people we need in our society(teachers, librarians, paramedics) are horribly underpaid and pushed to the back burner but then bitch and complain about why there’s a shortage? Give me a break. All these right wing capitalists talk about supply and demand then when everyone goes where the money is now it’s an issue??
Month: March 2022
It’s only been three days since I’ve been working in my new job, I already want to leave. My last job is an ambulance nurse, and now I’m a clinical research coordinator but I have to start all over again. Because all I have to do is completely deferent from my last job. However, I didn’t really know exactly what did I want to do or what I was good at. Now I’m in a position of struggling between stay or leave again.
Fired due to fraud
I'm not sure if this is ok to post here but I thought it may be a relevant example of greedy employers that don't care about anyone but themselves. Back in 2007, the owner of a medical laboratory I worked for was being investigated for Medicare fraud (he was adding extra charges for things that weren't actually done). One day, out of nowhere, the FBI raided the place and seized tons of computers, and boxes and boxes of files. No one was allowed in our out. They pulled each employee individually into a room and interviewed everyone separately. It was so crazy, like out of a movie. I was working in billing at the time, but I was not the person who billed claims to Medicare. During questioning, I was told by the agent that for my safety from culpability, I should not do anything that could even be related…
That’s got me reelin
discuss your wage
During the pandemic, I ended up out of work and took a part-time position at a nonprofit organization. I am still looking for full-time employment, while I work 3 jobs. My immediate supervisor is a gold digger — married well with a husband who makes well over $100K, works a super cushy job, and pushes all hard work off to lower people — took a weeklong cruise with her husband, and brings me back a Bahamas magnet. She knows I need full-time work and insurance, yet, she will not convince upper management to place me in roles, I am qualified for! She and her husband can go on an $8,000 cruise (I found the copy of the check-in copier, a few months ago), but yet she will not convince management to give me insurance. (I am looking for work outside the agency!) I seriously want to tell her to go…
If only people wouldn’t purposely annoy there downstairs neighbors and acting as if they can not control there kids, work from home will be more pleasant.
