How the fuck did we get here? Why? And why continue? This movie is easily one of my favorites now. It's unreal how accurate it is.

We Both Know This To Be True
I'm thinking of leaving after facing continued harassment at my current workplace. It started with badmouthing behind my back that some coworkers warned me about, but now it is full blown meltdowns when I'm near the individual. I had thought if I proved I can do well it would work out but it's just getting worse. I realized last time I was in that I am being used as a crutch while also being the scapegoat. I am shit talked to everyone and work seamlessly enough to make that person look better. It's becoming a split of those that see me work hard and those that listen to the gossip and believe it. I don't care if you shit talk me, but seeing how I'm being used as a crutch and shit talked at the same time is getting to me. Just needed this out, thanks.
Today i had to open, I did stuffs and things but as a general it was fine enough. We could have used more staff but its g. Got asked to close because we didn't have enough staff, I had to sort scripts, finish my giant list of jobs, bring in stock and close front shop because we had to get in a junior who didn't know shit about closing….. we were 3 people down so I had to do the work of 4 people…. Let me say this louder for the people in the back MY BOSS WONT HIRE MORE STAFF BECAUSE OUR STORE MAKES THE LEAST PROFIT OUT OF THE THREE PHARMACIES HE OWNS. THREE. THREE PHARMACIES AND A WIFE WHOSE THE HEAD OF SURGERY IN A FUCKING HOSPITAL. It was a lot for one human and I may not look it but Im pretty solidly asd and adhd.…
Fired for making small talk
I will leave out company details for obvious reasons, but I am dumbfounded that this actually happened. I just started this new job a month ago and obviously am still on probation and I was just fired yesterday for making small talk in a meeting. I work from home and while working I usually have a tv on to watch sports and had been watching the masters golf tournament on Thursday. So we have a department meeting yesterday and to make small talk I made a comment about a few of the big moments and about Tiger woods being back and all is well my co workers acknowledge and we move on into the meeting but my boss is silent the whole time which didn’t seem unusual I figured they were just waiting for conversation to subside to start the meeting. Friday morning I am invited into a one on…
I haven't really thought this out yet so don't flame me too hard but I just had a thought that it would be cool if it became mandatory that employees got a percentage of the profits of the companies they work for. Let's say they make it a 60% of the profits go to the employees and 40% to C level and above. Would that go any way to alleviating the workers crisis we see today?
