I work at a pharmaceutical production company. I started as a casual from a labour hire company, doing maintenance and such, when the company was quite new and starting to grow out of research and into production. A few months of working a week here, two weeks there, they offered me a full time job in the clean rooms working with the product at all production level stages. In February of last year I got a promotion to team lead. My boss had been impressed with my work ethic, my willingness to stay back a bit, and often asking if there was anything else I cod help with on my way out. The job involves running the rooms, managing people, doing the mountains of documentation and recording that comes with dealing with medicinal products. It came with a pay rise too, which was nice. So I got a call from my co worker today. Let’s call him Jeff , and we’ll call my manager Peter. So Jeff called off work today due to not feeling so good. Peter was pretty pissed off, but allowed it and all he said to Jeff was “ see you this Monday “. Fast forward 8-10 hours to just this evening . Jeff is on his way to his car meet specifically for his own car meet group where all their cars have their specific car meet logo on their windshields . Obviously with it, you’re able to know who’s who and really just to show off the brand/logo. Jeff arrives to the car meet 2 hours after regular business hours , doing his own thing after he’s felt a little better and just wanted to get out of the house. He’s having fun, until all of a sudden…

They removed the job posting that had false requirements for travel and then lied to me. Well internet never forgets and i found exact job posting and submitted to HR with headline lawsuit. They president set up the meet with me to “discuss” my well being. My well being lmao So this Tuesday im gonna talk to president and tell him to get fucked and fire me. Collect that unemployment while i look for other job. Man im loving the new paradigm

My parents are visiting me and my mom brought this up. I’m beyond angry. How do people put up with this. Teachers make absolutely nothing. They have to buy their own supplies. They work ungodly amounts of hours. And now this. I don’t think this is how it is across the US. But he’s in North Carolina and that’s how they treat their teachers. It makes me want to vomit.

I'm just an associate. I don't have access to bed boards, I can't see all assignments. The office is locked all night. They have refused to hire a manager for 2 years and the lead was the only person who could see all the dirty rooms but she quit maybe 2 weeks ago. Tonight I was here with one other housekeeper, 2 people for the whole night. Just enough staff for me to cover the 5 regular floor discharges+lab and for her to cover the ED. Then she had a family emergency and had to leave just now, so I'm here with 2 pagers with two different sets of rooms to clean, a direct EVS line anyone in the building can call about anything they need, literally an ENTIRE HOSPITAL HOUSEKEEPING DEPT TO RUN BY MYSELF, and I've no clue where to start.
