I've been lurking this sub for months and always wondered how lucky these people are to get overpayed some good sums of money. A few days ago I received a transfer equivalent to 113% my monthly pay after being already paid last month. I didn't know the sender at first, but on the evening I received a bank email stating that the sender was my employer. I have not been asked by HR or anyone, don't know if I will, and don't know what I'd do. But if this goes unnoticed, I'm not giving a penny back lol

Millennials selling out?
Millennials selling out like Gen X/Boomers…is it happening? Does anyone notice our generation falling into the trap of yuppie corporate culture? Are we (not the folks in this sub obviously) becoming jaded and tired? How and why?
Background: I support operations in a cyber security environment, and I do the work of 1-1/2 people beyond my initial job requirements and my salary is $45,000. The Median and average salary for my 1 position is $60,000-$65,000. Raise?: I asked for a raise and both mid level and senior level manager’s agreed that it was certainly warranted… but there was a cap to my salary for the position I work in. They offered a $5,000 raise to the cap but it won’t come into affect until June. In the meantime they will “put me in” for bonuses of “up to” $1,000. Bonuses are taxed at like 40% so even if it was $1,000 then I would get like $640. Of course, the employer did not specify how often the bonuses would occur or how much they would be. Lastly, they mentioned that I would be up for a promotion…
Salary information from recruiters
Not really antiwork as much as employees reclaiming power in the job search space. I have a good job and am not looking to move from my company, but I constantly am reached out to from recruiters asking if I’m interested in this position or that position. Like I said, I am not, but I always respond by saying that I would be open, but to not waste time I need to know the salary range for the position before I discuss it any further. 90% of the time I never hear from them again. I do this to try and increase the perception that this is something candidates are now requiring. Two questions with what I’m doing. 1. Is anyone else doing this/is it worth my time to do this? 2. Am I an asshole for wasting the recruiters time when I’m not interested even though 90% ghost me…
