22 year residential electrician

I’m 39. Dropped out of high school at 17, got my GED & went straight into the field. Started at $7 an hour doing all the grunt work. 22 years later and I finally saw $25 an hour lol. It’s not worth your time. Trust me. Go out on your own. I wish I would have had that mindset from the start. I got comfortable being an employee. Should have had my LLE set up years & years ago. Working on that now. I charge $50 an hour for side work (which is hit or miss at the moment) $50 sounds expensive, but you aren’t necessarily paying for my hours.
