3 months and still no one has an answer

I’m not sure if this is the right place for this but I’m curious if anyone has experienced this in their work. So I work for a semi small company. It’s an office job. We found out in January we’d be moving for my boyfriend’s job to a different state near July. I brought it up to my work beginning of February to see if they’d let me work remotely in the new state. At this point I don’t even wanna stay on. I’ve been looking for other jobs especially ones that pay more (what I get paid now is barely enough in the state we’re in currently and the new state is even more expensive to live in)

I’m just curious if this is normal for companies to do, dragging out their answer. I could see them doing it because they don’t wanna lose me now but what if it is a no anyways then I’m the one theoretically scrambling to find another job.
