So my work won’t pay you for a holiday if you take a sick day before or after the holiday. Cue me getting covid like symptoms on the Friday before (and coming in because of the holiday rules) and then testing positive on Saturday and having to be out Tuesday as well! The best part is I gave a bunch of my coworkers COVID so they were out after the holiday as well. If my company wasn’t so brain dead you’d think they planned this as a cost saving measure, but sometimes I wonder how they make it to work in the morning so I don’t think that’s the case
