8 Years Experience, Not Enough For An Interview

like everyone else, I've been hard up lately. Job doesn't pay enough, so I've been looking for a side hustle. Someone reached out to me on Indeed asking me to submit an application. It's a weekend job as an audio visual technician. I'd be setting up karaoke systems for parties. I thought that I'd be a perfect fit. like everyone else, I've been hard up lately. Job doesn't pay enough, so I've been looking for a side hustle. Someone reached out to me on Indeed asking me to submit an application. It's a weekend job as an audio visual technician. I'd be setting up karaoke systems for parties.

I thought that I'd be a perfect fit. My father owned and ran an audio technician service for almost his whole life and I've been working with him since I was 14 up until the pandemic. I have 8 years of experience of being an audio visual technician. I know how to wire speakers, subs, monitors, mics, displays up and down, it's in my blood. I wrote this all out in my CV and gave several references I've accumulated throughout working with my father.

I never got a callback. Never got an interview. They reached out to me to apply and they left me on read. I wasted my time writing a cover letter and I didn't even get a call back. Please tell me how no one wants to work anymore though, please do.
