I'm about to be moving up to the title of store manager in the next week or so. This comes after tons of issues with my soon to be former manager. I've been talking with the DM and she's been going over some of the changes to come, since current manager has gotten his way for so long with zero consequence. One of those changes is that my particular store is supposed to be on a payroll budget of 95 hours a week. Obviously ~40 of those are supposed to go the store manager, which leaves 50. With the current staff of myself and 2 others, this isn't so bad. However, I'm supposed to be working to hire 2 more people. Obviously that amount of hours is nowhere near acceptable for those trying to actually make money. I'm trying to start off my time as manager on a good foot, but I really think a payroll increase should be considered. Any advice on how to bring this up and hopefully be heard?
