A while back I had thrown up at work on my break. (I operate machines at a plant that makes food) I was given a rapid Covid test and when it came out negative they told me I can go back onto the floor or I can leave and get an occurrence. I ended up taking an occurrence cause uh…I threw up?? Like I can’t stop thinking about this. After a certain amount of occurrences you get walked out.
It doesn’t seem right to me at all that they’d reprimand me for getting sick at work and wanting to go home. I’m thinking of appealing it but I think higher up might see it the same?
Idk. Would just appreciate others input. I think back to it a lot because it seems so absurd.
