I was the assistant manager for a mom & pop store. Making $20 an hour doesn’t mean anything if I can’t get enough hours to pay rent and eat food, but he sure does love bringing it up. During the last two week pay period I only had 36 hours. How the fuck am I supposed to pay rent and eat food if I’m only making $1,400 a month. People want to work, people need work to survive, but it’s these blood sucking business owners who don’t want to pay us what we’re worth even though we run their businesses while they profit and get fat.
