remembering the ‘good’ times

Thinking back about my old job when they offered me a raise and promotion to full-time but right after I accepted was told that I couldn't tell anybody. I worked in facilities and the guys and I were really close since it was just us three. The main guy they didn't want me to tell was quiting anyway. He was hired under the fulltime position but then was told it was a typo and was seasonal full time. (Didn't get full time benefits and would get a month off between seasons. This is at a theme park) he jumped through so many hoops to get full time. He was never offered it. I ended up telling me other coworker who was there for 5 years. I ended up getting paid 20 cents more than him. He recently got a raise of $2 but is still $14 an hour for full…

I ended up telling me other coworker who was there for 5 years. I ended up getting paid 20 cents more than him. He recently got a raise of $2 but is still $14 an hour for full time and he's been there for 5 years.

I finally quit because I was trained to take over for the creative painter once he retired but wasn't told anything to begin the process. Found out later another girl got it and I found out through her. My old manager told me that they should've at least let me do the interview but he was the one leading it.

Also the manager in my department didn't know a thing and we had to teach him everything. I had to teach him how to paint and he still left stuff in the sun.

Since then I've been at a paint store with wonderful coworkers and amazing managers. I'm much happier and in a much better environment. I miss my guys from the park but I'm happy just where I'm at.

Also the guy who took my position didn't even last a month if that tells you anything
