Put in my 2 weeks to a company that fucked me over, and was fired 15 minutes later

I started at this company 4 months ago having no experience in this industry. It's a “no experience required, training provided” job, and I was very open the fact that I'd never done anything like it before. Everyone assured me that wasn't a problem, so I went ahead with it. 3 months in, my supervisor pulled me aside and had this long-winded talk that boiled down to “I've noticed some things about you, and I'm not sure you're going to make it in this department. Another department needs help for a week or two, and I think it would be good experience for you. Plus, people switch between the two pretty often”. I made sure to ask if I was going to be fired if I didn't take it, and was assured I wouldn't be. Fast forward a week into the new department. I tell her that I appreciate the…

I tell her that I appreciate the opportunity, but I'd like to go back to doing the job I actually applied for. She told me no. Only after talking with the new department supervisor did I find out that the old ones reasoning was because I was inexperienced. Well, no fucking shit.

Anyway, I decided to stick it out for a bit while I looked for a new job. The job sucked, but not so much so that I was ready to be without a paycheck until I found a replacement. A friend that I'd made doing the original job had a lot of connections in the industry, and told me about a competitor company that was hiring, and actually willing to train newbies, so he hooked me up with them and I got the ball rolling. Funny enough, 2 of the highest guys for the new company had previously worked for the one I'm at, and both completely understood the level of bullshit after I explained the situation.

I and signed the offer letter for my new job today, so I emailed my department super, letting him know that I'd be done in 2 weeks. He was working the same site I was today, and got there about 15 minutes after I sent the resignation email. I was already there, and hopped out ready to work when him and the other guys pulled up. Immediately, he came to me and said “so, I heard you're leaving us, slick?” (old southern dude, so obviously that's his favorite nickname). I told him yeah, because I was offered another another job where I could do what I applied for, and would be getting paid more.
He answers with “well, I appreciate you being here today, but we don't need the help. Jim will take you home and you can clean your stuff out of the truck, he'll bring it back here”.

TLDR: put in 2 weeks notice at a job I was given the option to be forced into it, or quit. Was fired in person 15 minutes later.
