So to a degree folks have to work for society to function. I believe most would agree on that.
However, I think most would agree 40 hours a week is not healthy and does not give a proper work life balance plus most wages today do not provide enough to meet basic economic security standards.
Where is the happy medium where society goes on but we have a more equitable work life balance and can afford basic necessities with your average job, and if you want more than basic necessities go into the more difficult professions.
