My badge/card broke around the loop that would go on a keychain and it fell off. Company uses the blank white badges to get in and out of the office.
I told the hr rep I needed a replacement and she let me know the fee is $25. A quick Amazon search and I can get a pack of 200 for $20. She copied and pasted the vague company policy that has no mention of the fee and said that’s the policy and I have to. I responded with “What if I choose not to?” She came back with “my concern has been brought to upper management”. Meaning they are going to ask for the money. I’m not paying it out of principle, if I gotta quit I gotta quit.
Should this not just be a business expense for the company? They want me to pay half a tank of gas for a piece of plastic.
