I work at a private student dorm. The rooms are insanely hot, with no aircon or ventilation and the windows don't open (literally 95F – one of the maintenance team checked with a thermometer), everything is falling apart after only 2 years and it's badly disorganized.
Our current Google rating is not great but not bad either. We recently got a new boss (I've complained about him on Reddit before) who thinks he's the golden child of student accommodation. His way is the right way, and even if you've done the exact same thing as him, you're still wrong.
He wants us all to straight up ask people, preferably sweetening the deal, for 5* reviews and it is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE that no one has given him a plan of what they're doing to bribe students for a false review.
There's a reason no one has done that, boss.
There's no way I'm lying to international kids who have limited options for student accommodation to get them to pay inflated prices for shit rooms just so the boss looks good.
