Catch employer in the act?

Recently I was fired without cause. I worked for a dispensary in a heavily regulated state. The owners had been trying to get me to help them purchase black market bulk weed to sell as tested, regulated product in the store (very illegal). Now that I’m gone I’ve heard from several local growers / friends that they’re actively purchasing black market weed from growers and from out of state, and repackaging to sell in their store. I’d love to prove this, but I don’t know any of the local growers well enough to approach. These people are horrible employers who underpay their staff, opt to import cheap labor rather than hire locally, being on family members with no experience for high paid positions, use and abuse their employees casually etc. they check all the boxes for toxic workplace, without even getting into the illicit activities. When I was fired I sued them for breach of contract, wrongful termination, emotional distress etc. they settled out of court for roughly what they owed me in lost and unpaid wages plus court fees. But I’m not satisfied, I want them to face consequences for the horrible way they treat their employees and the legal jeopardy they put all of us in so they can play drug dealer in the legal cannabis business. They came to this industry from an entirely different manufacturing business and don’t respect that doing it legally is all some of us want. We spent our time trying to get out of the black market and don’t want to be dragged back in by a careless employer.

I have a little money and would be happy to use it on a PI or service to help. I’m trying to figure out if there’s a way to get someone on their Managment or ownership team to agree to purchase some black market product from a fake account or an undercover person, so I can get proof that they’re breaking the law. Any ideas?
