Forgive me if this is not anti-work but I need help. I have a pending educational background and reference check post-interview for a job with the federal government here in Canada, but it has been a little more than 3 weeks now, is it supposed to take this long? I hear there is a backlog due to COVID and other issues but I’m not sure.
Note: They did take almost 1 month to get back to me after my second interview so I was thinking maybe I should just keep waiting…
If not, how do I politely follow up with them while appearing assertive but not impatient?
