Expect me to live from 2 days work?

Not sure if this belongs here but needed to get it out of my system. I've been searching for a new job within my current company. IT seemed perfect for me, handling problems and computers are second nature for me. I replied online to let them know I'm interesting in changing to IT, with all the necassary info, if not more than needed. A week passed. Heard from several people who've all applied for the same position but nothing from the “hiring manager”. Until, randomly while I was just working my shift, someone from the IT department went up to me and told me they've cancelled the job offer. For everyone. Appearently the higher ups in the company decided that 4 people in IT, for a building with more than 500 people, is enough. The IT people were angry, all who applied were angry, it sucked and was poorly executed.…

The IT people were angry, all who applied were angry, it sucked and was poorly executed. But that's that. Not too big a deal but still sucked. I'll continue searching.

A month or 2 later. The same IT person who informed me last time about the cancelation, informed that the job offer is back, but different.
They need someone for the weekends-only, mornings only. When I saw that, I knew it was hopeless to apply, because I only work in the evening and not on sunday. But I apply anyway, they wasted my time last time, might as well try to get the offer else it's no big deal. I reply with minimal info and just wait.

Today they finally responded. No cancelation this time. I get to talk to a hiring manager via text but it was barely a talk.
She asked me about my availablity. I tell them my current days and times.
“Do you want to keep working those days?”
Uhm yes, I need to afford rent and still eat please.
“I expected that, sadly the only days we can offer are saturday and sunday right now, and there is no option for additional shifts. Because of this, we can't continue the procedure. Keep checking the job offer online to see if anything changes.”

Not much more was said, but that I had to keep checking the job offers instead of notifying when something changes just rubbed me the wrong way. So I hope IT the best, the hiring manager not so much.

TLDR: Wanted another job within my current company. First job offer got suddenly cancelled, second job offer expects me to live from just 2 days of work. I wish I could, I wish I could.
