My mom suffered heat exhaustion and hypothermia in the summer heat for $15 an hour.

Edit title says hypothermia. I’ve been made aware it’s hyperthermia. My mistake. Yesterday around 9pm I got a call from dad explaining to me that my mom had come home from work feeling extremely unwell with a violent headache. Yesterday around 9pm I got a call from dad explaining to me that my mom had come home from work feeling extremely unwell with a violent headache. Her official diagnosis was of heat exhaustion with water depletion and hypothermia edit hyperthermia. My mom is no stranger to working outside and is well aware of the dangers of the summer sun. By her own account she is drinking nearly a gallon a day including a couple of liquid IVs and still this company (unnamed since I don’t know the sub rules) is working her long enough in the sun to induce heat exhaustion. As of yet her employer has shown no intent to pay this bill and I’m advising my father to look into a legal action though I have no idea if that will work in Texas. No one should have to risk their lives for $15 an hour in the Texas heat.
