Had a interview for ups and this woman said “Could you come in tomorrow to our [further location, not the set location on the indeed application stated]” She mentioned if I wanted a later time she would be interviewing at the [closer location, originally used for the job listing]
I’m broke and had little to no gas so I chose the closest location at the later date.
When she originally was offering an interview at the [farthest] location, she said 10am. When I mentioned if I could choose the [closest] location, she said let me check, and confirmed that we would meet at 11am at the [closest] location Thursday.
I show up 2 mins early and she’s still in an interview. Then at 11:03 she comes out and says
“I thought you had an interview at 10?” And I said “No that’s not the truth, when you asked me to interview originally at the [furthest] location you specified 10am, when we switched to the [closest] location you specified 11am. I am on time.”
Y’all this woman was taken aback and the people working were so quiet she fumbled and rudely said “okay” and as we started going to the back for an interview she said “I guess I think I might have gotten it wrong”
Ma’am no need for thinking you were and are incorrect. The interview lasted 2 more mins before I left due to it being falsely advertised that they were hiring for their [closest] location and they were only hiring for the [farthest] location. Which she never said over the phone either.
Oh well much luck to those job hunting today
