This is getting ridiculous. She makes the schedule 3 weeks in advance and still will call me in to work on days off. I get messages Iike ” I really appreciate if you can come into work today” or ” you really need to come in today”. I politely decline because honestly I am busy. I have kids friends and I am usually not in town when she texts.
So what I have noticed is at first when I started saying no it was ok. Don't worry, no big deal or it's ok. Now when I decline it's silence. It is literally not my fault if someone calls out sick or not. I have made plans and I am definitely not bailing on my kids when we have made plans on my day off.
So I was thinking how do I soften this because I don't want to have any hard feelings about it. I can't stop answering texts etc because we all have our phones on us all the time but do I just make something up like I have another job? The actual legit excuses I have are not going over well and I need this to stop. As a woman I do not want issues with a woman boss. It will get difficult. So I need advice.
