I’ve been working at my workplace for about 2 months or so. We have no dress code. I will say my fault for not doing laundry when I know I had no more tshirts to wear to work but I thought a cropped tank top would be alright as it’s hot summer and we have no air conditioning in the store. The owner of the store pulled me aside and said my shirt was inappropriate. I said “oh I’m sorry, I didn’t know we had a dress code.” And she replied “oh no we don’t but that’s not appropriate for any place of work.” I then suggested I could put my jacket on which she shrugged and said “no it’s fine” this has been bugging me for the past 2 days because my female coworker wears literal jean booty shorts EVERY SINGLE DAY! There has not been a single day she hasn’t worn them. She never gets told anything but because I have uncontrollable bigger boobs or a crop top on I get told off?? I don’t get paid enough for this ($14.50)
