Just need to vent.
Worked for a startup for nearly a year on a contract. Was constantly told from management how amazing I was and that I will be hired. My contract was extended but they kept saying the same thing. In 1 week I went from any day now I'll be fully hired to being laid off along with 30 other people.
I have been out of work since January and still cannot get a job. I'm tired, exhausted, and just angry. I ran out of unemployment and have a family to take care of. I've put out so many applications have gone through so many interviews to get turned down. I'm either too qualified or not enough. We, thankfully, are able to get a bereavement on our mortgage but I'm just so tired of it all.
I will never Ever give a two weeks notice because if anything this has really taught me how much they just don't care. Spout all the “we're family” and just throw you out like you're nothing. I'm tired….
