You know the US is bad when marrying your mother seems like a good option

I work at a very labor intensive job for 16 dollars an hour. The only good thing about this job is that they have killer health insurance. I have a chronic disease and they paid for a 1000 dollar per month drug with no argument for two years. My dentist says they have never seen such good dental insurance and that I have the best out of all their customers. My dentist says they have never seen such good dental insurance and that I have the best out of all their customers. Meanwhile my mother, who I live with, has her teachers degree and is working two jobs teaching at two schools for about 18.50 an hour. Neither of those jobs has anything close to affordable health insurance so she gets here through the marketplace. She pays 200 a month for insurance that covers almost no prescriptions, about 1/4th of preventive dental care and half of eye problems. So I was looking into trying to add her to my insurance, it's my insurance I pay for it I should be able to add whoever I bloody well please, but no. You can only add spouses or dependent children. There's no reason for this, the insurance company would be getting more money regardless, it's just the “rule”. So I found myself in the ridiculous spot of wondering the other day if there was some way I could marry my mother so she could get a half rotten tooth pulled out of her jaw before January. It is time for socialist healthcare in this country.
