“Happy” maids ran my vehicle into the ground (transmission)going all over Atlanta. I only made $30 a house. Had to clean whole bathrooms (and toilets) on my hands and knees. Piss, pubes, and shit splatters all up near my face, fckn gross. When my vehicle broke down, they fired me cuz I wasn't anymore use to them. Then they sabotaged the next job I had lined up later that week by saying something, Idk what.
Couldn't make over $250 a wk working there.
“Daddy” John's ran another vehicle into the ground. Told me I'd make $15 hr, not true. People don't tip, especially because “Daddy” John's already charges a $3.00 delivery fee and gives the driver $1. Imagine driving 20 miles round trip for $1 and the $3/hr salary. Made about $30-40 a night and about $75-100 paychecks. Never made over $250 a wk.
Deep cleaned a lady's house and she tried to scam me by not paying me. Said she didn't have it. Had to fight tooth and nail to be paid.
Husband got a job 2 wks ago at a local restaurant. 1st week 20 hrs. 2nd week 17hrs. He gave his notice because another local restaurant wants him and they said they have more hours. The lady kept his paycheck 2 more days past payday. He had to hound her for the money.
Jobs don't pay you on time, won't give livable wages, lie about hours, use you, abuse you and feel entitled to do it. Labor laws are supposed to help but essentially don't because if they did they wouldn't break those laws to begin with. Pulse DOL is super slow to react if they react at all.
Sad thing is, I can give way more examples.
I'm tired.
