Where I work is looking for a new office assistant and the pay makes no sense

I work at dealership in sales and finance. I hate it. The anxiety of performance throttles a person. I’m quitting for a new job in a week, they have no idea. If I give em a two week notice they will just have me clean my desk. I work in a right to work state meaning a person can be let go for no reason and if I give them a 2 week they can let me go same day no ramifications. In the meantime, one of our office staff put in their two week notice. We are a pretty large dealership selling new and used vehicles in our area and sell quite a few per month to the state right next to us. This means knowing the title process for multiple states. In the meantime, one of our office staff put in their two week notice. We are a pretty large dealership selling new and used vehicles in our area and sell quite a few per month to the state right next to us. This means knowing the title process for multiple states.

The office position being vacated handles financials, cutting checks, verification of warranty cancelations and processing said cancellations, title work, filing and sending bank contracts and paperwork, requires accounting background and much much more.

Prior to covid, there were 4 staffed in the office. We are actually busier than pre covid and now have a staff of 2 (ironic, right?)

Here is the best part, the listing is offering $14/hour with MONTHLY INCENTIVE/PERFORMANCE BONUSES! Ouch. This is a full time position with a lot of responsibility. And how the F does an office worker get a incentive/performance bonus? Mind you, in my experience here, the bonus is based on OTHER peoples performance. Like, if sales hits a goal, office staff gets a bonus. As if, somehow, they are responsible for sales.

Maybe I’m just ranting but what a bunch of BS.
