I started working at my job, a small, family owned restaurant, about 2 months ago. I work a server and it is my first ever job. When job searching, I was very particular about my applications. I thought working at a smaller, non-chain restaurant would be vastly better than working in some faceless corporate hellscape. Well, It's not. I hate my boss, I hate the regulars who come in and hit on me, I hate being yelled at after making a small mistake. The worst part is that because its a small business, and I am the only one in my position. All of the responsibility is on me. Ive had to take multiple sick days recently, and each time was met with ridicule. I have no assistance while working and am doing a job meant for 2+ people. I have started to just spend my days anxiously waiting for my shift. My dad says that this is what customer service is like and that I need to just feel it through. I want to quit, but I have a hard time imagining any other entry-level/ customer service job is any better. I guess I just made this post to complain and get it out of my system.
TLDR: Getting my first customer service job has made me hate capitalism even more
