I've been working in Tahoe since June 21 for a small rental business. The pay period was on July 15. They told me they mailed my check that same Friday, July 15. It's now Monday, July 18 and I haven't seen a check.
I've messaged the labor board. Is there anything else I can do? Do I need a lawyer?

I applied for a tour guide position. Ended up being placed in what's known as the beach tent.
July 7th, I became sick. Went back to work July 12. The job is super chaotic as it's a new business. I was told that I would be working in the shop that day to learn and be free of chaos. Well they sent me to the beach and it was of course hectic which caused me to break down. I let them know that I would be taking a step back and would like my check which was July 12.
It's now July 18 and no check. That's why I'm freaking out a bit.
