Hi Ive been reading so many posts through this subreddit and realized that my previous work place engages in wage theft without me knowing. It would be a chain similar to Chipotle and we closed at 11.We were only allowed to start pre closing and closing at 10 when our door closes.
That would give us an entire hour to sweep/mop the floors and clean everything in the front and back store. Obviously several of these times we’ve never managed to close under an hour with only a maximum of three employees.
Once 11 hit our boss would clock us out and explain that since we were scheduled only till 11, he’d pay us only until 11.
I’ve since left that toxic work place but I’d like to get what is at least a few hours of pay that he stole from me.
I have no way to track exactly how much I wasn’t paid. He does have cameras recording the place so I was thinking something along those lines?
