A month ago I was injured while working because of the extreme overload of work we were getting. I went to the emergency room immediately and my employer told me everything would be taken care of for me. Once they found out I had torn a muscle everything changed. Despite asking for any updates every week I get the same excuse that they are waiting on them. I asked my coworker about it and he said when he got injured he was taken care of and paid within a week of his injury. Am I getting screwed here, or is there anything I can do about it? My bills are coming up and having not been paid for a month I'm afraid of the consequences.
